Spending dashboard
Spending turns your imported transactions into a picture of where the
money goes. Everything on the page follows the date range you pick.
Date ranges
Preset pills: This month · Last month · 3M · 6M · YTD · 12M · All time (default 12M), or set a custom From/To and hit Apply. The range lives in the URL, so you can bookmark "last quarter" views. Most cards compare against the prior period of the same length — e.g. "3M" shows change vs the 3 months before it.
The metric cards
- Spend — total charges in range, with % change vs the prior period.
- Net flow — inflows minus spending ("in X · out Y"). Green means more came in than went out.
- Monthly / Daily average — average spend per month (or per day for short ranges).
- Largest purchase — the single biggest charge in range.
Charts and breakdowns
- Monthly (or daily) spending — the trend bar chart.
- Spend by account — which card/account carries the load.
- Top merchants — biggest merchants with visit counts.
- Spend by category — deterministic keyword categorisation (no AI); the footer calls out the biggest mover vs the prior period.
- Recurring charges — merchants charging you steadily month after month (last 6 months), with an estimated monthly total. Your subscription radar.
- Foreign spend — how much was charged in each foreign currency and its share of total spend.
Records
All-time superlatives: Most visited merchant, Largest ever purchase, Most expensive day, and Priciest month (with the cheapest for contrast). Below them, the largest transactions in the current range.
Categories
Categorisation is keyword-based and deterministic — the same description always lands in the same category. If something is miscategorised, use tags to build your own grouping; category keywords are maintained by the operator.
