Accounts
An account in Perfi mirrors a real card or account you hold: a credit card, a savings or checking account, or a brokerage. Statements and trades always belong to one of your accounts.
Adding an account
Accounts → Add account:
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Account name | Anything you like, e.g. "Citi Rewards Card" (max 80 chars) |
| Type | Credit card · Savings · Checking · Brokerage |
| Bank | The institution name, e.g. "Citibank", "Webull" |
| Card last 4 | Optional, digits only — lets uploads match this account automatically |
| Currency | Default SGD |
Why last 4 matters: bank statements often contain several card sections (DBS and UOB print combined statements). Perfi matches each section to your accounts by the card's last 4 digits. Banks that print no card number (Trust) match by bank name when you have exactly one account for that bank.
You can also create accounts during upload — each parsed card section offers "+ Create new account…" prefilled from the statement itself. For investments, create a Brokerage account before recording trades or importing broker statements.
The accounts list
Each account card shows its type, name, bank, card last-4, and how many transactions it holds. Actions:
- Edit — rename, fix the bank or last-4, change type or currency.
- Archive / Restore — archiving hides an account you no longer use (it appears dimmed and sorted last). Nothing is deleted; archived accounts keep their history and can be restored anytime. There is no hard delete of a single account — to erase everything, see account deletion.
